A rainy day

It rains little, but it rains. The covered city is one of Europe's best: two big museums, an iron-roofed market and some baths or a neighborhood cinema build a perfect day without getting wet.

The big-museum morning

MNAC or the Picasso at Sunday pace, museum café included. CosmoCaixa with children: the flooded forest and the experiments eat a whole morning without complaint.

Lunch under iron

Santa Caterina or Sant Antoni at midday: counters inside the market with produce from two stalls away and an iron roof overhead. The Boqueria works if early and on a weekday.

Indoor afternoon

Palau de la Música guided tour, La Pedrera's interiors, an original-version cinema downtown or baths you leave renewed from. Rain outside, you inside.
